Meet the RamRide Staff

Director, Off-Campus Life

Jeannie Ortega

Jeannie feels as though she has grown up on campus, as she has been here since 1982! Having worked part time in various positions on campus, Jeannie eventually began working in OCSS/RAL in 1995 (before the flood!) and has been the director since 2000. She has a background in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies from CSU. Jeannie truly enjoys working with students, seeing them reach their goals and realizing their full potential. It keeps her young at heart.

Assistant Director, Off-Campus Life

Lindsay Mason

Lindsay is originally from Southern California where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology at California State University San Marcos. Lindsay and her partner, Jason, left the warmth of California and moved to Colorado in 2011 for Lindsay to complete her Master's in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Lindsay serves as the Assistant Director in Off-Campus Life, working with several programs including RamRide, and is also pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership. Lindsay loves soccer, cooking, reading, stand-up comedy, 1990's sitcoms, and spending time outside with her two pups, Neville and Luna, and partner, Jason. She is proud to be a Ram and grateful for the opportunity to continue to work with CSU students.

Program Assistant, Off-Campus Life

Nancy Rhodes

Nancy became an honorary Ram when she joined Off-Campus Life in July, 2009. As OCL’s Administrative Assistant, she enjoys trying to help everyone else stay organized. Along with the ongoing operations, she supports big events like the Ram Welcome, Fall Cleanup, and the Housing Fair. Her move to Colorado (after a year-long RV trip around the country with her family) fulfilled her life-long dream of leaving Florida and living somewhere where she could wear sweaters and shovel snow. While she misses visiting her alma mater for burritos and football games (Go Gators!), she loves being involved in CSU and the ever-changing college atmosphere. Nancy has a Political Science undergrad, a master’s in Musicology, and a Paralegal Certificate – so if you’re looking for the ultimate Trivial Pursuit partner let her know.

Community Outreach Coordinator

Madison Thompson

I'm a first year Master of Public Health student with a concentration on Animals, People, and the Environment. I grew up in California, and completed my undergrad at Pacific University in Oregon with a degree in Philosophy and Environmental Studies. I consider myself an activist, with specific efforts in animal rights and environmentalism. I hope to use my education as a means to fight for food justice, environmental awareness, and farm worker rights. Eventually, I'll get my Ph.D in philosophy and become a professor, primarily focusing on environmental, animal, and bioethics. When I'm not working, I love to be active whether that's in the gym, on the dance floor, or getting out into nature. I'm also a huge fan of the arts, like dance, live music, drawing, and creative writing (especially poetry).

Nightly Operations Coordinator

Katherine Koehler

Katherine is a third year student studying Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Organization and Innovation Management. As an active member in Pi Beta Phi and the Public Accounting Society, Katherine is always looking for a way to better herself and get involved in campus activities. "GO RAMS!"
